Visit often to view the construction progress from start to finish.  Our King & Bear Model is part of the BuildSmart® program (Florida Power & Light) and Energy Star® Partner program (EPA) due to the outstanding energy efficiency rating of 72 percent more efficient than current State of Florida building codes.  
 
This home is being constructed with IntegraSpec - ICF Block, steel framing, spray foam closed cell insulation, Geothermal closed loop HVAC system with a heat recovery unit & Tankless brand instant hot water system.  The roofing material will be Tamko's Metalworks® Steel Shingles, which resembles the look of gray stone slate. (Steel is a fabulous product to use for roofs.  It's environmental friendly, recyclable and completes the home's airtight envelope.) 
 
The other important component in maximizing the energy efficiency are the windows and doors.  All of the homes' window & door glass will be tinted, double paned with low-e.  The utility bills for the summer are projected to be $120.00 per month for 4,600 SF of air conditioned space.  The winter month projections are $85.00.
